Struggling with the Homepage #12
Comments
Hey @silversufer, Glad you like it! Björk includes the Front Page template, which takes precedent over all other templates (and the settings at Settings → Reading). You can modify the content of the front page directly by going to Appearance → Editor, and clicking the preview to the right. If you want to use the content of another page here, you can locate the “Group” block in the right column of theme layout, directly above the “Footer” template part, remove it, and add a “Content” block in its place. Make sure to set it to “Inner blocks use content width” in the right settings sidebar. If you save the template now, the content of the page you’ve set as the front page in Settings → Reading will be shown on the front page. |
Hey @andersnoren, |
@silversufer Correct! |
@andersnoren Thank you very much :-) |
I really like the theme and would like to use it. Unfortunately, there’s something I don’t understand. I’m a beginner with block themes and hope you can help me with my issue.
I created a page for the homepage and another one for the blog. Under Settings > Reading, I assigned these pages accordingly. Now, I want to edit the homepage with my content. However, when I edit the page, it is empty. If I add content, I cannot see the changes on the homepage. What am I doing wrong? Could you please give me a tip? I am reluctant to edit the homepage template because it is a predefined template. I hope I have expressed my issue clearly and look forward to your response.
