IRC or Matrix channel

It would be nice to have an IRC channel for Amber or a Matrix room on servers that are friendly towards FOSS projects.

I am trying to use Matrix since years but I had only issues and at the end I removed the client.
Right now on discord we have like 20 channels so replicate it in Matrix is not easy.

first we would need to figure out if there is enough demand for these. i'd create a #amber room in libera chat, but its just not worth it if no one will be hanging around in there.

i like matrix more than IRC, because it has chat history and everything so there is no need to hang around in one channel all the time

tbh u could just create a room anywhere and add it to readme, if you are interested enough in moderating it and talking to people in there
