Items scheduled or deadline after N days shows in Next N Days section

I have set the numberOfNextNDays to 7 but all items scheduled or with deadline after next 7 days still listed in the dropdown TODO list.

Expected behaviour: items scheduled or with deadline after next N days does not show in the drop down TODO list.

Replay symptom by: Create an item with scheduled or deadline after next N days, the item will appear in the drop down TODO list, which is not expected.

I got this issue too.
