Describe the bug
Well, at this point we all know that MIUI is not the best when handling multiple apps in the background, but even doing the good practices to make the app not being closed in the background and even using modded approaches (rooted device) I can't make the Voyager app to keep alive while switching apps, not for a long at least.

The good practices and mods that I use work for other apps (even Lemmy clients) but no luck for Voyager.

To Reproduce
Open the app, minimize it, switch to other apps, they don't need to be that demanding (like games) get back to the app, it will reload the content.

Expected behavior
The app to hold in the background a reasonable amount of time or depending on the active/sleeping apps.

Smartphone (please complete the following information):

  • Device: Poco F2 Pro (lmi)
  • OS: Android 12 MIUI 14 global
  • Browser: Android app
  • Version: 2.21.0

Additional context

I might think it is the way of how Voyager works, AFAIK it is so similar like a web app, and I experience a similar behavior with browser apps, such as Firefox Beta and Vivaldi... Sometimes if I switch to another app the current page will reload, that is pretty much what I am experiencing with this app.

I still wanted to report it just to see if something can be done.
