What

  • Over time, labeler.yml has become a documentation of the relevant files correlated to a theme for our repository
  • We keep opening issues with labels, but it can be hard for contributors to enter the project without code pointers.
  • Leveraging the labeler.yml to create a new action to automatically comment code pointers into newly opened (and properly labeled) issues would be awesome.

Hello @teolemon! Thank you for your idea!
Could you please describe it in a bit more detail? What do you mean by code pointers?

Hey @MaksimZhukov here's a mockup:

Notes:

  • the invocation could be manual like in this mockup (or automatic on label add)
  • that in case of wildcard, it justs prints the wildcard
