It's not a feature that interests me because I use the keyboard to select the startup item, but I wanted to point out the fact that if I move the cursor with my I2C touchpad (of which I don't know the model) the cursor moves very little and then doesn't move. I can no longer move it.
I attach the debug logs. opencore-2024-02-14-232445.txt

I am having a similar issues on a lenovo ideapad 720s 14IKB. Touchpad does not appear to operate at all.
I have tried PointerSupport as a last-resort method.
EDKII shell reports that there is both a driver for the I2c touchpad, and that the driver is loaded and attached to a device without issue.
Following-up on this. Determined in my case that its the result of a broken OEM driver. Unsure if due to use non-standard interface, or firmware writers were drunk.
(The touchpad fails to work in refind too, for context)
