Initially this should allow for "task/feature" planning and "time period" planning, but eventually be configurable.

Task/feature planning

  • utilize notes, tasks and jobs
  • NOT added to exports

Use case something like "I've been assigned a vague task that I need to shape and scope".

Time period planning is just like "what am I doing today"

  • new entity type: goals
  • utilize (notes?) tasks and jobs
  • should be added to export(s)
  • optional reminder functionality

Use case would be like "its 9AM and I want to plan my day".

Additional thoughts/ideas

  • Support creating calendar events to visually define work periods ("scheduling")
  • call it "Focus mode"
  • Hide items unrelated to the specific projects/jobs you configure here so you only see what you need to focus on.
  • Reminder configuration.
  • Timer configuration.
  • Optional alert: when you add an item to your list that wasn't originally in your daily plan ("This job wasn't in your plan, would you like to add it? Yes/No")
  • Allow selecting individual tasks from each job
