Other EVM chains may be able to work with Helios. Some chains may have viable light sync protocols that we can swap out for, and some L2s may be workable. We should look into the following.

  • Avalanche
  • Polygon
  • BSC
  • Optimism
  • Arbitrum
  • zkSync

Another you might have on your radar are Substrate based EVM compatible chains like Moonbeam and Astar.
Of note: there is a light client in Rust that may be of interest that IIUC can now or will soon work with these networks: https://github.com/paritytech/smoldot

Any update on this? Is using Helios on other chains, most especially ETH forks possible??

ETH forks shouldn't be too hard, but we've been focussing on Ethereum and L2s so hasn't been prioritized.
