What is the feature?

Google recently added markup support for organization-level return policies. Here's the summary from the link:

Adding an organization-level return policy can help reduce the size of your Product structured data markup and make it easier to manage your return policy markup in one place. It can also make your return policies eligible to show with additional search results such as knowledge panels and brand profiles, in addition to product search results.

Describe the solution you'd like

The request here would be to implement this into our current Schema offering by adding the property to the Organization schema output as well as removing the element from Product schema pages (and anywhere else it may appear).

One consideration to note are shops that have different returns policies per product. I have joined an X discussion asking about this, and will update here once I know the answer.

Why do you think this feature is something we should consider for the Yoast SEO plugins?

This saves bytes from code on every single product page and anywhere else it may appear, only needing this to be output once within Organization schema output.

Additional context

Just a Slack thread here.

Google updated their doocumentation today - Clarifying return policy precedence:

Clarified in the organization-level return policy documentation that product-level return policy markup takes precedence over organization-level return policy markup. If you choose to use both markup (whether it's at the product- or organization-level, or both) and settings in Merchant Center, the Merchant Center return policy information takes precedence for any products submitted in your Merchant Center product feeds.
