There are some issues related to OPL3 chip emulators

Opal, an emulator by RAD team

  • Wrong KSL causes different sounding of all instruments
  • Inaccurate sounding of 4op instruments
  • Absence of rhythm-mode percussions, the sound is silent
  • Can't play Corridor7 IMF songs, plays silent instruments, but some percussions are can be heard
  • Some drums like this (BassDrumMine.opli.zip) are played a bit "heavier" than on other emulators
  • Missing notes while playing this doofus-title.imf.gz (Possibly because of rhythm-mode lack. This IMF, looks like one of very rare thing that does use of Rhythm-mode)

JavaOPL3, an emulator from GZDoom, re-written in C++ from Java

DosBox OPL3
