i turned off antivirus and downloaded the update its still crashing in on windows 10

Just updated from 2.9.x myself and I'm having the same issue.

EDIT: It appears the crash is caused by not having Steam open before opening gmpublisher. If I open v2.10.x without Steam open, it freezes and requires a force quit. Previous versions display a "not connected to steam!" error but initialize once Steam is opened.
