I read that it is highly recommended to use Borderless Fullscreen due to DirectX shenanigans, but is it still possible to find an alternative way to display the info/best rewards while still maintaining Fullscreen mode? It doesn't matter whether it's just a color highlight, or display on my second monitor, or whatever. I just want to keep Fullscreen mode because Borderless makes my game kind of laggy and run under 60 FPS due to some weird program-focusing reasons.

See Rewards display in WFInfo settings. Snap-it (inventory scanning) always shows up as an overlay, though

Most likely the main reason why Borderless is laggy for you is because your PC is rendering underline windows at the same time as the game itself. If u allow game to not render anything but the game itself, it also can't render the overlay. Very logical outcome.

Your alternative options:

  1. Get a second monitor, connect to PC, allow the game to only be rendered on first monitor, use "Window" rewards display mode to show the rewards on second monitor. Considering your PC is having issues even with single monitor, I suppose its not an option for you.
  2. Use "Light" mode. It won't render results but it will write them to clipboard (as long as you enabled checkmark for Clipboard). Its much less nice to use.
  3. You could consider competitor app if it has alternative ways of rendering stuff, but I'm not certain.

supposed to increase performance in borderless environment

I've tried it out before, and feel like it had done more harm than good. Granted, I tested it out before VS. after in the setting of Deimos, so that might've just been open-world coding going bonkers as per usual.
