Entries with a mixture of hearing impaired and dialogue

Even before filing this, I was thinking about the approaches of the function 'Remove text for hearing impaired'.

Using this iTT as an example:

1 and 2 can be removed without issue because they contain only bracketed content (excluding the hyphens).

However, 3 and 4 present challenges:

• 3 might have to be retimed to exclude the sound of screams (in some cases, it might remain depending on the CPS and shot change). Perhaps there can be a sophisticated algorithm to warn users (a log generated?) that the entry may require review and subsequent adjustment (if it only contains content within a bracket and nothing outside it).
• 4 is complicated (and possibly beyond the scope of this discussion) because, as well as retiming, re-editing would have to occur to remove the English dialogue (leaving only translation). Another algorithm would likely be required in making automatic edits (including the detection of dialect changes), but until then, should there be a provision to inform users (i.e. only act on 1 and 2 because they're straightforward)?

Regarding points 3 and 4:

Each of the following examples lasts three seconds to cover all events, but only one or two seconds will be required to cover the dialogue, so they will have to be adjusted manually by the editor.

Solutions:

1. An additional option to not remove entries with content outside brackets
2. Remove all bracketed content (including the examples for points 1 and 2), but generate a list of entries if there is content outside square brackets
