In the Video menu, the user can enable and disable 'SMPTE timing'. However, I think this should be controlled/determined via 'Time code mode' in Settings:
It's possibly the way it should have been done, and it would simplify matters for less savvy users, particularly in relation to video rates/sync and the saving of some file formats. For example, I imported a WebVTT (produced in another application) for a 23.976 video (SMPTE disabled), but Tero has
"media"
(instead of"smpte"
) and the wrong timings in the exported iTunes Timed Text file.Using Tero Subtitler 1.0.0.6 - Mac 10.11.6.
