Stuck on world loading when going back to the overworld with cubicchunks #19

Whenever I take try to go back from the teletory to the overworld (both via falling and portal), the game gets stuck on loading the world back in. What I mean with this is that I am stuck in the floating in the air at world spawn screen, usually (when coming from the nether or whatever) right before the world loads in. When this happens the only way out is through force exiting the game.
It did work for a couple times, I believe, but even in new instances, it has stopped working since.

Important note:
this only happens with when using cubicchunks

To the person behind the screen:
I know this project is either long forgotten or at least abandoned and probably not thought about for some time, but it would make my week if you would look into it. I'm not sure you've heard of it, but a couple of months ago a new mod came out (terra 1 to 1) which, using cubicchunks and openstreetmaps and others, recreates the terrain of the real world in minecraft on a 1:1 scale. Ever since I saw this I wanted to play survival and explore the world using it.
Now, from what I can tell, this mod is one of, if not the only mod out there that would make it somewhat practical to navigate to whole world and actually enjoy it. (travel huts is another one, but it is just stepping in one portal after another while with you mod at least you are travelling an actual world/dimention.). So if you could find the time to look into it, that would be wonderful!

ps: since it's not crashing as such, I don't have a crash report for you, but if you need other information, please ask.
pps: nether works fine, so it's not dimentional switching in general
