Ceta should have a user friendly and easy to use installer that will download the latest version even if the installer is old and add to the user's path.

Should the installer also install node.js, or is this still required as a prerequisite?

Is this actively being worked on or is it ok to start from scratch?

I'm gonna rewrite this in go eventually, might start it today
