Hello!
Love the project! Use it every day.

I was looking for a way to contribute and saw I could help with design/front-end coding. So..
Here is a design I've made on figma:

I've made changes in the text, trying to be more succinct, and removed History as a feature to show. However, if there is actually more than the 8 presented currently on the site that you guys wanted to present, I believe a section of a list with more "small features" could be added.

Looking for feedback and a green signal to code it.

Looks great! Thank you. I prefer the first header design.
I have a few minor things to note:

  1. The title should be "The lightweight streaming experience for Android"
  2. NewPipe supports multiple services: YouTube, SoundCloud, PeerTube, Bandcamp and media.ccc.de. Those should be be visible and recognisable somewhere in the first third of the page.
  3. I think the main argument to use NewPipe is the extended privacy and not circumventing ads (no ads are just a result of that feature)
  4. Are you using the "Roboto" font? We wanted to switch to it, but somehow forgot about it.
  5. We tried to use the same colors and styles for all parts of the website; you redesigned the landing page. How can we apply the new styles to other parts of the website (especially the blog and FAQ)?
  6. How is the "and more" section going to look on mobile devices? Are the screenshots going to be hidden?
  7. Did you try to put the icon and feature title in one line? (e.g. here)

Thanks for the feedback!
I'm addressing your questions/notes below:

  1. The title should be "The lightweight streaming experience for Android" (I'm changing that)
  2. NewPipe supports multiple services: YouTube, SoundCloud, PeerTube, Bandcamp and media.ccc.de. Those should be be visible and recognisable somewhere in the first third of the page. (The design of this section was in my head, but completely forgot to add)
  3. I think the main argument to use NewPipe is the extended privacy and not circumventing ads (no ads are just a result of that feature) **I think the same, but just modified the text based on the current version. Do you think that changing the headline "The original youtube experience..." to have more focus on privacy is enough? **
  4. Are you using the "Roboto" font? We wanted to switch to it, but somehow forgot about it. The design is using Arial same as current version. I'll change to Roboto.
  5. We tried to use the same colors and styles for all parts of the website; you redesigned the landing page. How can we apply the new styles to other parts of the website (especially the blog and FAQ)? I could create a scss _partial containing the variables so that o ther parts can use them. Besides header navigation and footer which can be reused. Also, font-familly, font-size, line-height, headings size and spacing, body background and some more margin/padding on other elements can all be shared by changing the defaults.
  6. How is the "and more" section going to look on mobile devices? Are the screenshots going to be hidden? ** It's gonna be the screenshot then the text, I'll create a mobile version.**
  7. Did you try to put the icon and feature title in one line? (e.g. here) I used that way 'cuz I wanted the icon to be bigger and centralizing them in the same line looked a little bit off to me. Take a look: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1_W2fAp-EeTO00RDsF_lwz5h81y_CaU3D/view?usp=sharing

In a few days I'll upload the adjusts.

Forgot to say, but I can slowly adjust the other parts of the site as well.

I believe these versions address all the notes pointed:
