As you might've noticed, our blog was less active lately, mostly due to lack of time by our website team. Therefore we are looking for additional authors and editors who write release announcements, review new texts and help improve our website in general.

If you have fun writing or developing websites and want to help, please let us know in this issue. Thanks in advance to anyone offering their help!

We might want to put this note into the main repository to gain more attention.

Hey guys,
mentioning this issue in your release blogpost got at least my attention, so mission accomplished I guess? If you want a bit more attention, you could also pin this issue via the sidebar.

I would be happy to be an author/editor, maybe even developer. I did my fair share of web development, and feel comfortable enough writing posts or FAQs.

I would love to contribute in this capacity for this project that I love so much, I haven't done any extensive web development in a very substantial amount of time, but, I do love writing copy so updating a blog with content would be right up my alley

@Poolitzer @DINKIN great to hear you're offering your help. Please feel free to extend our FAQ section, fix issues etc. We happily merge PRs.

After having sent a few PRs which allow us to assess your work, we can consider giving you commit access. We'll discuss that internally.

Thanks to both of you for offering help!

I have some unfinished things in my local repo: a 404 site and a CSS refactor. I hope to find some time to push both soon.

@DINKIN I really appreciate help with the blog. Posts can be found in the /_posts/ directory.
Before publishing a new release, we open a pull request in the app repository to get some more people to test the app. This helps us to find new critical bugs. From this point on, no more new features will be added and there is a changelog in the PR description which could be the basis of a blog post.
If you want, I can either ping you in the PR or send you an email to let you know that we are close to a new release.

@DINKIN I am about to release a new version. Do you have spare time to write a blog post?

We ahve just released 0.18.2, a hotfix release. a short blog post would be awesome.
Prior versions of NewPipe might not work anymore.
