I have encountered a problem that seems to be tricky to solve. If you want the table to be responsive by default and still be able to control the width of the columns, the way TanStack handles this is that the other columns are stretching and adjusting themselves with the container. You can disable the actual width handle that pevents that column to be controlled, but it doesn't prevent it from stretching out when you move another column. Meaning that it can even exceed the maxSize you have assigned to it, and depending on how many columns there are, what display resolution you have, the column can never stay the size you want it to be.
This problem is mostly apparent when you're using checkboxes for example, but also applies to columns with badges etc, basically anything that have no reason to exceed a certain width. To me it seems that it should be possible to say that this column should stay fixed and not be stretchable. But the other columns are free to stretch how much they want to in order to fill out the container.
Any suggestions on how to solve this and have I missed any property that could be useful?
