Expose an js api that triggers a dialog asking whether the user wants to add the current webapp to the homescreen. If so ZHV copies the apps file to a central location and adds an icon on the homescreen - maybe as widget? or rather like chrome does it so that it fits in with the other apps and works on more launchers? I don't know the solution yet.

maybe a top bar with an icon [+] to add to home screen, a shortcut maybe it is better than a widget, for example I use KISS launcher and shortcuts work but widgets you can have only one(for a clock or something big like that)

I use the kiss launcher too... Yeah widgets are not the way to do it.
Top bar could be complicated and add an extra megabyte if not done correctly - I think its easier for the apps to show such a button which calls an js api and zhv does the rest...
