Deploy custom environment automatically to latest commit

I've searched the hydrogen/deployment docs but can't find where (if at all) it talks about deploying custom environments.

For example, I have a staging environment that is pointed at a staging branch but it never deploys and if I prompt it to redeploy it does so at an earlier commit (not the latest on the branch). I want it to deploy any time the branch is updated.

Looks like the CLI might do the trick

h2 deploy --env=staging

I suppose I'll match this in oxygen.yml gh workflow.

Does this trigger both preview and prod?

run: npx shopify hydrogen deploy
