I am reaching out to seek guidance on integrating the Customer Privacy API banner within our custom storefront effectively. Currently, we have managed to display the consent banner upon page refresh; however, we are encountering challenges in retaining the user's consent preferences via cookies. I have been unable to locate the necessary documentation or guidelines on how to activate this functionality using the Customer Privacy API.

Additionally, I came across a pull request by @wizardlyhel, focusing on simplifying the setup process for the Customer Privacy API. If anyone has insights or further information on this topic, I would greatly appreciate your input.

@negprof Would be nice if you can give us some feedback on the proposed developer experience on integrating privacy banner and customer privacy api. We will be releasing it as unstable component at first. We are pretty confident that the developer experience side of things will be pretty stable.

I'm looking forward to providing you with feedback once your pull request is merged. Here are my initial thoughts and requests:

1. Streamlining the implementation of the native CMP banner directly through the Shopify admin panel for a more user-friendly experience.
2. Eliminating the necessity for custom analytics triggers and event handling, including for Google GA4/Tag Manager, to simplify the integration process.

Additionally, incorporating these features into the Hydrogen example would be highly beneficial. This would ensure a more comprehensive demonstration of the capabilities and facilitate a smoother setup for users.

We are just ironing out some bugs before making it stable and working on an official documentation on shopify.dev.
