I had a user show me a screenshot of 3 notifications after the weekend. Their device was powered on all weekend, but locked.
Logs show that screen was locked most of the time, but something possibly woke it up (while not unlocking it) so the display was awake even though the lock screen was present.

Consider changing the "display asleep" check to instead by "user session is locked" in order to avoid the multiple notifications.
