@Jinxhao18 Good question! and YES, you have to keep the web page open. Because VSCode didn't ship with ffmpeg module (See: microsoft/vscode#66050 (comment)), I guess it is because Microsoft want to reduce the size of VSCode. Anyway, I have to use the user's browser to play the audios. But as far as I know, there still some ways to let extension play the audio directly, but it will increase the size of the extension.
