Leads not linked to campaign through interaction

Hello, I have an issue with adding leads to campaigns through interactions.

If I create a new interaction on a lead (using the quick action provided by the package) and I populate the Campaign field then the interaction gets created without issues and the campaign is reflected in its corresponding field in the interaction, but no campaign members are created associated to this lead.

I have checked that both the selected Campaign is active and the campaign member status I include in the Interaction is a valid one for this campaign.

This is only ocurring with leads. If I do the same with contacts, it does create the campaign member for the contact.

Is there something I'm missing here? Maybe something related to interaction mappings?
