How to file a helpful issue

Qubes OS release

4.1 with qubes-windows-tools.noarch 4.1.68-1

Brief summary

When connected WD MyPassport (WDBYFT0030BRD-0A) external disk shows properly in sys-usb as two drives: encrypted drive and virtual cdrom with windows decryption tool. After attaching to windows 10 VM, windows try to attache it and fails. In best case (after reattache we end with broken usb device in device manager). I tried it before on Virtualbox and everything works. I can attache drive to windows VM, decrypt it and then attache to Linux VM and use it.

Steps to reproduce

Connect WD MyPassport encrypted drive to computer,
Attache to Windows VM

Expected behavior

WIndows VM should mount two drives: encrypted drive and virtual cd with decryption tool

Actual behavior

Windows fails to install device.

I also try attaching android 12 device to this VM, which also fails but since there is a known bug for linux vm it can be no connection to this issue.

Ok, I was able to use it with attaching the drive persistently and many tries of connecting it. It looks like a problem with that the device change it presence after attachment.
