I have tried toggling the button as suggested; and it still does not recognize the keyboard input. Any further advice would be greatly appreciated. #5007

Edit:

I just thought of something regarding my comment. It was working before I paired my PS4 controller to my Mac; since then keyboard does not work. I even went to the extreme of forgetting my PS4 controller from my Mac, and making sure that Keyboard was selected from the Input dropdown menu.

This is EXACTLY the issue I've been experiencing. No matter how many times I toggle the permission on/off, it's still happening. I've been playing on OpenEmu for years now but I could swear this is happening since I used a PS4 controller for the first time ever a month ago. I'm a bit despertate now.

Resolved this way:

  1. Trash any older copy of Openemu and empty trash can
  2. Go to Apple menu > System Settings > Privacy & Security > Input Monitoring on the right.
  3. Select Openemu
  4. Click on the minus sign at the bottom left to remove OpenEmu from the list
  5. Download and Install a fresh copy of OpenEmu
  6. Run it and follow instructions.

I am not sure if all the instructions are necessary, but this seems to do with more than one copy of different versions of OpenEmu installed.

I don't have more than one version of OpenEmu on my computer but after deleting the zip file it came in and then doing the minus and then plus it is now working. So probably the removing from list and then adding again is the key.

Solved! It seems the -/+ was the key. Thanks!
