OpenEmu crashed while quitting (segfault trying to access nullptr
?)
#4985
Comments
Same problem, my screen go black in many NES games. |
@jpivarski @Kuda-Izka if you update the macOS version does the issue resolve? Because that issue appears to be inside the Main Apple thread which is what every program opens to start using the CPU as I have understood it. So either there is some corruption in your macOS version installed, or you might need to download a fresh copy of OpenEmu as the current version might be corrupted. I am running macOS 14.4.1 right now with OE 2.4.1 installed and have no issues with closing and opening. If the issue is persistent you might need to enable the secrets menu in the settings and perform sanity checks on the databases as there might be a database issue upon closing. |
I'm just reporting this in case it's useful. If it's a "wont-fix", that's fine by me. Crashing while quitting is perhaps the best way to crash, if you're going to crash, but it might indicate a deeper issue.
(I also checked for duplicates and didn't see any.)
If I'm reading this Problem Report correctly (I don't have much experience with Macs), it looks like it tried to access
nullptr
and got a segfault. This was after selecting "Quit" from its application menu.Debugging Information
