Hi @Alv-Arne Thanks for your interest in ResInsight. The camera position is stored in the project file, and all 3D views will be loaded and configured identically as when they were stored if you have the same screen resolution. The view might be slightly adjusted due to different resolution on the screen you use compared to when the project file was stored. We use the camera position in our regression test system for image compare operations. If you experience issues with the camera position, please create a test project and we will investigate. Currently, there is no way to control the camera matrix by scripting. This can be added and made available from Python. Direct manipulation of the 4x4 matrix is complicated and not recommended. Hi,
What are my options if I want to create 3D visualisation plots of a grid from the same camera position (which is not one of the six standard views) between ResInsight sessions?
Loading a saved project will bring up the previous views, but they sometimes seem off, possibly due to changes in the window layout. Fidling with mouse input will only get me so close to a previous viewpoint. I can't find any documented script commands to set this explicitly. There is a script command to set the outer dimension of the plot window, but not for the internal plot window itself.
I note that saved ResInsight projects contain a 16-parameter cameraposition vector/matrix. Is this a standard 3D visualisation software thing that I can look up the meaning of and use to my advantage?
Apreciate any help.
Best regards, Alv-Arne
