Hi

Please add drop voicings

As you may know, this is a great and systematic way to find useful sets of spread voicing for all plain four-note sixth and seventh chords.

It isn't very fruitful for sixth and seventh chords with extensions or alterations. But for the plain ones - C6, Cm6, C7, Cmaj7, CmMaj7, Cm7, C7b5, and Cdim7 - it's an excellent tool. But I haven't found any app that can generate diagrams for them. So if you manage to do that, it will be a great contribution to the guitar community.

All drop 3 voicings of G7 on string set 0x000x
drop3

All of the drop 2 voicings of G7 on string set xx0000
drop2

All of the drop 2 voicings of G7 on string set x0000x
drop2-x5432x

All of the drop 2&4 voicings of G7 on string set x00x00
drop2-4

Other string sets:
Drop 2&4: 00x00x.
Drop 3: x0x000.
Drop 2: 0000xx

Hello,

Thanks for your suggestion and detailed examples!
This is indeed one of the evolution I was planning to implement.
I'll get you noticed when it will be available.

Have a nice day,
Modrigue

It's becoming one of the best apps for exploring chords and scales! Impressed how many scales and chords you have managed to add. I thought Impro-Visor had the most, but you've massively surpassed that, even with microtonal chords!
https://github.com/Impro-Visor/Impro-Visor/blob/master/vocab/My.voc

I'm not a programmer, but I notice that for dim7 chords, there are no selectable [MAX] 4 note voicings. But I think most guitarists would view the common 4 note variants as most useful. You may know this but.
Drop2

Bdim7: xx0101 | xx3434 | xx6767 | x-x-9-10-9-10 |
Bdim7: x2313x | x5646x | x8979x | x-11-12-10-12-x |
Bdim7: 1201xx | 4534xx | 7868xx | 10-11-9-10-x-x |

Drop 3

Bdim7: 1x010x | 4x343x | 7x676x | 10-x-9-10-9-x |
Bdim7: x2x131 | x5x464 | x8x797 | x-11-x-10-12-10 |

And you may know that chords are often simplified by omitting chord tones. The commonly leave out the fifth.

CM9: x3243x
G9sus4: 3x3211
G13b9: 3x3100
G13: 3x3200
G13: 3x3455
G13b9: 3x3454

And even the root - relying on the bass player to cover the root.

NoRno5

G13: xx3200
G13b9: xx3454

Thank you once more for your very constructive and interesting feedback and ideas, as well as your detailed examples!

I already took note and promise to add drop voicings as soon as I'll have find the necessary time to implement it the right way :-)

Thanks again,
Have a nice day,
Modrigue
