The current lighting used in Doom 3 BFA displays everything as if half the light sources do not work.

The Marines from the very beginning of the intro are barely visible save for their silhouettes. I do not know if this is intentional, but everything inside the watch tower from the opening cutscene, save for the monitors, appears unlit. The docking area also appears heavily unlit.

Switching Half-Lambert Lighting to Off will break any semblance of lighting completely, causing the screen to appear all white. HUD and other various interfaces such as menus still work. Restarting BFA does not "resolve" issue until switching back Half-Labert lighting to On, restarting Doom 3 BFA, and playing like usual.

To Reproduce:

  • Run BFA as usual starting a New Game. The lack of lighting will become apparent during the first opening (real-time) cutscene.

Expected behavior:

  • Doom 3 is known to be a very dark game, but somehow barely anything is visible now. Marines should be lit enough in the opening cutscenes to make out their faces.

Edit: Screenshot capture appears to be broken.

Desktop:

OS: Windows 11 Pro 22H2
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5700X
GPU: Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8GB
Driver Version: 528.02
RAM: 64GB

Additional context:
DOOM BFA Nigthly 2023-01-06-21-12-1673039530 was applied over a clean install of Doom 3 BFG.

Did you had also HDR active while switching Half-Lambert? I have notice some rather weird behaviour when is disabled while HDR isn't

I had HDR enabled the whole time.
