Not sure if it is an issue for anyone else but I am unable to connect to SickRage when I am on a local network with the server due to the app pointing toward my external IP. If it's not a config issue in my end it would be helpful to have an option for setting a SSID to force ShowsRage to use a local ip instead of a public one.

I am using my external IP too and it works just fine when I am connected to my local network.
I am planning on adding multi-host support in a future release (1.6 or 2.0 probably). This will allow you to have one configuration with your external IP and one with your locale IP.
