Frequently times out on github readme #27
Comments
Hello, @rubengmurray. How often you experienced this? Thank you |
I've added the code back into my README & i'll monitor. Seemed to work fine on the first load so I'll keep monitoring |
Hello, @rubengmurray. Appreciated the details and replies, so far for me the content is ok. See screenshot: Currently we have a caching time of 30mins for the content to prevent the over use of the limited API request from the github grapql. If you encounter the issue again try to check it after 30mins and let see if the issue still persist. Thank you |
Hi @LordDashMe, I'm not sure what it is, whether it's a regional thing, browser based thing, or something else, but if it's not cached when I visit that page, I get the broken image. I'm using Brave: Version 1.35.104 Chromium: 98.0.4758.109 (Official Build) (x86_64) on macOS Monterey. In any case, for me it comes up with a broken link too often on my profile page so I'm going to comment it out again. |
Often, when I go to my own profile page on Github where the README.MD is rendered, the embedded URL shows a broken link icon with the alt text.
I presume this is because the request is timing out based on some github site rule.
On my own site where I have it embedded, I have no timeout set and it always loads eventually, but it can take ~5 seconds to load.
