How to include a interactive plot in a window?

is possible to include a plot (for example a function) in a window? How?
Can you use any plot package? like inspectDR?
can you show an example?
I'm very interested.

You might look at GLVisualize or Immerse. Other than Immerse, I haven't played with this myself. I don't think Plots would integrate with this (yet).

Since 2017, has there been any progress on incorporating any figures from Plots into the canvas widget? This would be a very convenient feature as @cjruiz mentions. If not, can the plot be created as an output file and then loaded without introducing bottlenecks ?

This has been a show stopper for me as well. Even if it had to be done manually, so be it. Converting from widget coords to plot coords has to be possible.
