I use Spotlight (Command-space) to find apps on my iPadPro - I have little use for the home screen in general (the Dock is more than sufficient for my most used apps!)
I notice Search doesn’t really do anything if you type in it until you hit enter and then it opens a search engine of your choice.
Describe the solution you'd like
Implement a dynamic search. I would love it if it filtered apps and if an app isn’t what I’m looking for, then hit Enter and open up a web search.
Describe alternatives you've considered
alternative is to scroll through my list of apps to find the app I want.
Additional context
Such a feature could defer the need to implement folders to organize apps (#1368) - I would just search for my apps all the time!
This would also make casaOS feel at home for macOS and iPadOS users who use Spotlight to find apps, files, and even make calculations (I use it for simple math all the time!) - might be good to ask Apple users their fav way to use Spotlight and steal like an artist! 🎨
I’m also guessing if containers chose to implement a “search hook” you could display key results across all apps might be nice (assuming you can mute apps you aren’t interested in hearing from)
