As part of WCAG 2.1 AA, Audio description is required to be provided for any video content where there is meaningful information conveyed visually that is not provided in the audio.
Audio description may be rendered in numerous ways, including as an alternate textual track, alternate audio track, or alternate video track. In any viewer, audio description is only turned on by user request. In order for the viewer to present these options to the user as audio description, it must be able to identify the audio description.
