next_url for list_resource_instances() not working #162
Comments
output from the above program limit=10: Notice start cycles through the same values
|
@powellquiring Here's a link to the integration test for this operation within the Python SDK:
You can see where the "start" query param value is retrieved from the "next_url" value that's returned in the response object. cc: @phanziii Edit: I think what is happening is that since an incorrect start value is being passed in on subsequent invocations, you keep retrieving the "first" page over and over. |
Makes sense. I think the current solution is to fix the documentation https://github.ibm.com/cloud-api-docs/resource-controller/issues/226 Longer term there is a plan to make scrolling through pagination less error prone, right @dpopp07 ? |
Describe the bug
Looking into https://stackoverflow.com/questions/72736166/listing-ibm-cloud-resources-using-resourcecontrollerv2-and-pagination-issues
Here is my copy/paste of the original code:
Set limit=2 and no rows are returned
set limit-10 and 7 rows are returned and it gets into an endless loop.
