We have been working hard to add new features and improve existing ones to make your experience with Carbon UI Builder even better. Here are some of the highlights of what we have done:
Rich Text Editor
You can now create and edit text content with more flexibility and creativity using our new rich text editor. You can format your text, titles, links and more with ease.
To use it add a regular text component into your fragment where you need it.
Select it to reveal the options.
Flip the Use rich text toggle and edit your rich text in the WYSIWYG editor.
Layout Widget
You can now customize the layout of your components and fragments with our new layout widget. You can adjust the margin and padding for any component without writing CSS.
Select any component and adjust settings in the menu on the right.
Layout Tree Widget
moved it to the left because it affects the whole fragment, not just contextual
rewritten from scratch for the Carbon UI Builder
supports drag&drop between all the other parts of the UI Builder
Other
Starting SDK
We started moving various tools and components to SDK, which will serve as a future library enabling developers to create UI Builder type experiences.
Layout and Styling Enhancements
We have enhanced the layout and styling of our components and fragments, such as applying layout styles to all components, adding helper tooltips to style-pane, renaming Custom CSS classes to Advanced styling and more.
Inline Loading Component
You can now add an inline loading component to your components and fragments to indicate that something is loading or processing. You can customize the appearance and behavior of the loading component.
Minor Fixes and Updates
Built-in Templates: we've added support for built-in templates
We have also fixed some minor issues and updated some dependencies, such as enabling selecting fragment from breadcrumbs, fixing fragment dashboard search, updating package-lock and more.
We hope you enjoy these new features and improvements as much as we do.
We would love to hear your feedback and suggestions on how we can make Carbon UI Builder even better for you.
