@ksobon In the most common of phased projects, you will have views to illustrate Existing, Demolition, and New Construction conditions. On more complex projects, you might have several stages of new construction as you build out larger facilities. The phasing dialog box by default shows only Existing and New Construction, so new users may mistakenly create a new phase for Demolition, or other conditions that do not apply to phasing (recently experienced by a team affecting all disciplines). Demolished elements are represented with phase filters, not as a dedicated project phase.
So, when do you need to create more than the phases shown by default? As one example, think of a staged construction project that will happen in two new phases. In this scenario, you are designing with a start time for the building shell followed by another phase for interiors, allowing the owner to split funding for the project into two budgets. In the first phase, the building core and shell are built. In the second phase, interior construction occurs.
Track on Mission Control the team's use and creation of untypical Revit Phases.
