I second one requested feature of Issue #42, automated/abstracted/batch cooking, with added specifics:
I have a cooking "problem". My interest, the problem I'd like to solve for myself, is that cooking in vanilla is a monotonous waiting-for-paint-to-peel grind that detracts from, rather than adds to, my enjoyment. I'm not interested in added culinary diversity. My imagined solution is thus, as so often, adding more automation and abstraction to that mechanic, a cooking process that:
watches a nearby container(s) for certain raw ingredients and automatically prepares them, when there is a single form of preparation (no recipe alternatives), and returns the prepared items to the same or other containers;
when there are preparation alternatives, allow me to make that choice and then automate the remainder of the process ala multi-crafting and craft-from-container, as above.
The mod Cooking Station Tweaks achieves some of this, but doesn't hit the bulls-eye. I wonder if this mod can be extended to include this cooking abstraction? It would seem to be a very appropriate addition to its other features.
