link command issue

i m trying to build a new app after the npm install --save react-native-video command when i try to write react-native link react-native-video it gives me this error:
react-native link react-native-video
Command link unrecognized. Make sure that you have run npm install and that you are inside a react-native project.

Are you using Expo, by any chance? I get the same thing.
