PC running Edge Message Screen will not appear

Working on HP Laptop in Windows 10 Home, Version 1803, using Microsoft Edge 16 Browser.

I spent all day Tuesday August 20th working on this computer doing testing, all things were working fine when I left, I came back today Thursday the 22 and the main area of the message screen is not showing up. I tried logging out and back in. I tried restarting the computer, logging out and in again and tried to send and click on the messages I have sent from my other devices and cannot get the screen to show up. See the attached images of what is showing.

It shows that I have received messages in RECENT on the left side, however I cannot get any of them to open nor show up on the main message screen.
