I have received a similar complaint as well. I am trying to figure it out why for some people it does not work. Thanks in advance 😁 Edit: also after you press "Save and Restart", can you open Task Manager an check if Tabame is opened? I suspect it just crashes. Edit 2:

Really excited to try Tabame, unfortunately I'm having the exact same problem. I have installed it multiple times - to set different hotkeys, finally setting it to a mousebutton. But I see it's not showing up in the Task Manager after the restart. It hasn't generated any errors.log. Desktop: |

@elvinvandalen Thanks for replying. So after you set the hotkey, it closes but never opens again, when you double click tabame.exe does it show setup window again ,or it just not opens? Can you post here settings.json from |
Correct.
Yes, when I try to open the exe it never shows up in Task Manager again. Only way to get the settings dialog back is to uninstall and reinstall. Settings.json |

It seemed to be working a little bit at first. It was running in the task manager and the menu was placed next to my cursor. But when I clicked somewhere else and tried to start it with my mouse button nothing happened. I tried to open the exe again and then it stopped working right away. |
That's how it suppose to work, when it looses focus it disappears from the screen. There is an option to disable that. You can try open Start menu and type "Tabame Interface" if anything popup, you can go to QuickMenu and disable it from there. Open task manager and press "t", there might be multiple Tabame processes, the one that stop working but did not fully crashed, just frozen. Close them all. This should be the last try: please delete everything in the folder Thank you for helping me fix this issue, I wouldn't guess that these crashes comes from audio part. With this, I also fixed some bad coding practices when the app keep fetching audio info even in background. Thanks 👍🏼 |

Hi guys, Unfortunately I'm also hitting the same issue, I've never seen the window appear using the hotkeys etc. Ok, after deleting the Tabame folder, enabling run as administrator and hitting save and restart, it does appear to be working 🎉 |

For me, pressing the hotkey I set (CTRL + ENTER) and then the 3rd or 4th mouse button (which I didn't set as hotkey) shows the menu. When the menu is closed I can't interact with other windows, then I need to press the 3rd or 4th mouse button again. |
Describe the bug:
Downloaded ZIP, extracted and ran. I came to learn that the master hotkey needs to be set before anything else occurs. Set the hotkey to various choices e.g. Ctrl+B, Ctrl+B, Ctrl+1, and clicked "Save & Restart". Afterward, the program did not seem to be running, neither did it seem to remain launched if done so manually. Deleted %LocalAppData%\Tabame folder to reset settings and tried another config after each test. I feel like I've misunderstood something obvious.
