Duplicate of #261 (hint: the feature already exists, just by a different mod)

@Madis0 Madis0 closed this as not planned Won't fix, can't repro, duplicate, stale Sep 18, 2022

Sorry to comment on this old issue, but the closure of this is incredibly wrong. I'm still having insane problems with the loading screens, and according to Debugify and Mojang, it has been patched in 22w46, but that's wrong. Me and my friend, both users of Fabulously Optimized, are having incredibly long loading times when joining and changing dimension on my server (that's running Viaversion), and after a lot of troubleshooting, I'm pretty sure it's a client-side issue. When I installed the mod that was rejected, it immediately fixed the issue: In fact, I don't think my game ever loaded worlds this fast ever!

I think this suggestion should be reconsidered. @Madis0

The feature should now be in Remove Resource Reload 3.3.0, please enable the option and test.

Tested the new feature and there is a difference - RRR still takes longer to exit the "Loading Terrain" phase meanwhile kenny's mod is instantaneous.

I vouch for this mod to be added to FO. I personally use this mod on an SMP server that has three slots for /sethome, and I frequently tp between these three homes for fast travel between the overwold and the nether for an xp farm and for a food farm. Without this mod there is a short "Loading terrain" screen with every tp, but with this mod installed there is no loading screen at all and the tp is instantaneous.

Against this, mainly for stability reasons. This screan exist to avoid users seeing weird glitches and bugs, something that shouldn't happens in fo. Obv the end users it's free to add it he wants

The screen used to wait 2 seconds after the terrain was ready (for whatever reason). This is the bug. This is what Debugify (and now Minecraft) patched.

The screen's job is to wait until the chunks have been received, the mod you are suggesting just bypasses the screen entirely, putting you in the game before chunks are ready. This is not what is intended, you need to wait for chunks. The screen also automatically exits if it hasn't finished in 30 seconds.

This mod can be useful for people with extremely low speed connections who may prefer to join an incomplete world, but is out of Debugify's scope.
