About Project Status

I noticed the following about the project:

  • Last commit: November 21, 2022
  • Last release: May 31, 2022
  • Open PRs: 6 (latest from November 9, 2022, unmerged)
  • Open issues: 39 (latest from February 22, 2024, no replies; previous from November 29, 2023, no replies)

Given this activity, is the project still being actively maintained?

AFAIK, Nick bowed out at 2023. Before that, he suggested us moving to Astro.

If that is the case I'd say the project should be archived and Readme.md updated

I'm looking at Astro, Astro + Svelte and Sveltekit differences. It is always simpler to know a stack really well than many.

Diference between Astro and SvelteKit

I'm no longer maintaining it. It was passed on to my partners of ElderGuide.com/FindEnergy.com in 18 months ago or so. @vodnaz still manages the package but it isn't seeing updates. @eight04 did amazing work but I was too burnt out to handle it.

I see both Sveltekit and Astro as not great options today for future projects as they're just too much. I have been playing a lot with just ripping out the esbuild bundler/hydration logic from Elder.js and using it with Honojs' html tag.

The speed at which the JS community moves is insane, so anything new I start will have as few dependencies as possible.
