Hey I had the same issue and I was able to solve it, I would leave the steps I follow to fix Step 1. Install Creative Cloud 5.7.0.1307 or install it from here (https://mega.nz/file/yaZBhDoB#p3nTh7-Bdg3Li1SUaAjcYd33Zh6GCkLJ87LJLtDaW9Y) This link is mine I uploaded the one I installed so do not worry . Step 2. Before you start, please click uninstall on the installation screen for the old version of Creative. Step 3. After the installation is done go to /Library/Application Support/Adobe and locate the folder name "Caps" and delete it or send it to Trash. "You can easily go to the location by Holding Shift+Command+G on your desktop." Step 4. just try to install the Adobe Application you were trying to install before and it should work 100% with no issue. I just did this and worked 100% for me. |

Got it thank you so much! Is there a way for it to stop updating?
|
@swansongss by going into setting in creative cloud theres an option there to stop from updating but it would cause some issues I just recommend reinstalling old version when ever u need a new Adobe Software |

Alright, thank you sm for the help!!
Have a great day🫶🏻
|
This worked for me perfectly. Thanks a lot @Damnbebo |
Worked for me to. Thanks! |
Here is a direct link: https://ccmdl.adobe.com/AdobeProducts/KCCC/CCD/5_7_0/osx10/ACCCx5_7_0_1307.dmg |
would be nice if the script were updated to use the new creative cloud app version As elmimmo points out here what adobe did.. here I found the last ver b4 5.10 I used their CC version history to guess what the URL was from analysing the existing URL's |
i cant find any folder named "caps"? i think im missing something |
hello why is my after effects asking for sign in for free trial? even though i downloaded a cracked version :( does anyone have any other link? |
i cant fi
i cant find u on discord |
hi! im having a bit of trouble w this rn and i tried to add u on disc but it says username incorrect :(? |
You can simply tell us your trouble here 😃 |
basically i installed the offline ae 16.0.1 version and i get the Error: SyntaxError: JSON Parse error: Unexpected EOF when i try to actually install it, i tried to uninstall creative cloud too but it wont let me bc it says i still have creative cloud applications installed on my laptop that requires it |
I see, you can install AntiCC instead, download it from here: |
okay i downloaded the anticc, so now do i just install the ae all over again and delete the old one that i installed? sorry im not good w these computer stuff |
Yeah, install AntiCC, then run the installer again. if you have a previous version of AE, it will be replaced automatically. |
my god worked like an absolute charm thank u so so much |
Can you show us the crash report? |
so it doesnt show any crash reports, when i double click the ae to open it it just pops up at the bottom for a few seconds then goes away |
i had previously installed a newer version of ae which wouldnt open either but this one would get stuck at the intialising screen instead so maybe that might b something to do w it? |
That's strange, try open it from Terminal and see its output, or open Console to see the logs. |
Can you show all the crash report detail? |
Strange, did you select the correct platform? And what about other packages? |
I followed everything and can't find the file "Caps" |
Hi! In my folder there are no files at all whatsoever. So the routine doesn't work. Any suggestions why it's empty or another method? |
I don't have it either - so no idea |
You do not need to really worry about it, it would work without it.

Nothing to do with Adobe Packager: the crash log clearly shows that you try to run a patched version since "frida-gadget" is loaded. The crash is certainly because of a bad patch, most probably because the patch doesn't match your PS version. |
There are two Library folders in every version of macOS I've used: [a] Macintosh HD>Library and [b] Macintosh HD>Users>[your username]>Library "caps" is in [a] so you can find it using only finder and its definitely: Macintosh HD>Library>Application Support>Adobe>caps |
yo I followed ur instructions but I keep getting (error code 133) I searched up the code it says that I don't have enough disk space even though I have more than enough |
I can't find the caps folder anywhere |
Go to desktop folder, click cmd + shift + g. Enter /Library/Application Support/Adobe/caps. Remove all files in caps folder |
I was able to install Ps by following the steps step by step. However Adobe Create Cloud updates automatically. For another installation of another Adobe application, should I reinstall the previous version Creative Cloud 5.7.0.1307 and follow the same steps? |
Whatever I do, no matter what langauge and system locales I get:
Error: SyntaxError: JSON Parse error: Unexpected EOF (-2700)
The text was updated successfully, but these errors were encountered:
