@brookestewart has observed an ongoing problem with web URLs to particular archives containing illegal characters. We're sketching out a working process to replace these URLs with bit.ly links

This bit.ly link points to an archive at Yale U. of Mitford's papers numbered Gen MSS 32, so we've tried to incorporate all the distinctive information about the page into the bit.ly identifier link:

http://bit.ly/BrowningCorr_BrandBarbarina

We should make a list here of standard archive identifiers that we can use throughout the project for bit.ly links as they are necessary.

  • BrowningCorr
  • YaleMitford (refers to Yale's Mitford archive of papers
  • LByronTimes (Lord Byron and His Times)
  • BostonPL_MRM_MSS (Boston Public Library Mitford papers)
