@amberpeddicord We now have a workspace for versioning the Haydon letter and another for versioning "A Parting Glance at Our Village" to get started on the OV versioning.

Also, there is no rush on this, since we don’t need to see the versioned sketches right away (we do not need that for the proposal of the article. We just need it for the finished version)!)

@ebeshero Sounds good! I'll get started on it sometime in the next few days.

@ebeshero I updated the schema lines on the Our Village sketch and nothing needs changed! I'm starting on versioning it, but I was wondering where I should put the revisionDesc and what format I should follow for it?

Also, is there an xml:id for the Lady's Magazine like there are for Mitford's letter manuscripts?

@amberpeddicord Terrific! The revisionDesc always comes last in the teiHeader, and you can add it just the same way you see it in the last letter you worked on. We need a listWit—I guess we can choose something like MRM-LM for an xml:id for Lady’s Magazine and MRM-OV for Our Village book volume!

@ebeshero Okay! Also, for the book volume, I was using the same xml:id digMitTeam as we're planning to use in the letter, and have it in the listWit as our team's reading of the volume of Our Village. Should I change that for this?

Also, one more question: do we consider changes in punctuation to be significant enough to markup? Or should I just leave those for now?

@amberpeddicord Let’s change the xml:ids just for this because really the DM team is reading both documents for versioning.
Yes—please mark all the punctuation changes. (Sorry—I know that can be tedious. But we may see some interesting patterns.)

@ebeshero I finished the versioning of the sketches and pushed it up!

@amberpeddicord Wow—that was fast! I’ll pull it in and take a look. Anything interesting to see?

@ebeshero For most of the sketch there were a lot of changes to punctuation and grammar (and some italicizing that I marked in the Lady's Magazine that wasn't in Our Village), but the introductions to each were completely different in each!

@amberpeddicord Fascinating! The different intros will be interesting to share with @Samwebb64 , @lmwilson , @elialp and @caileym !

Thank you, Amber! This is the example of "re-orienting" for audiences that is mentioned in the proposal. It's interesting that the sketch appears in LM exactly one year after the "Our Village" sketch. I'm also intrigued that in "More of OV" she mentions Lizzy and Mayflower as being potentially the most interesting characters for magazine readers. @ebeshero @amberpeddicord @elialp @lmwilson

I'm adapting our XSLT transformation script this afternoon, to give us a preliminary view of this sketch this weekend. Perhaps we can link it to the proposal! :-) @Samwebb64
