How would I make busses in a chip like for example a CPU without having an in and output tied to them? (like in the original DLS)

I have recently started with this program and I love it, only problem is that some features from the original DLS are sadly missing (things like seven segment displays).
One thing that has bothered me though is that there isn't a way to make a data bus inside a chip that isn't connected to any out or input pins like this:

Something like this wouldn't really work either since I couldn't connect any other wires to the "Bus":

if there is any workaround please let me know
