Waching php-fpm worker processes startup and exit

Hi ,
can you provide API for watching SAPI (such as , php-fpm pool process ) startup and exit ,
as we want to do someting after it startup and exit .
After a few days of research , we fail to find solution .
Could you give us some suggestion ?
